samor, i would check with your foreign office about travel to syria at the moment as many are advising not to travel there unless it is absolutely essential. my husband is also syrian but we have had to cancel our trip thisyear due to the trouble which is rapidly getting worse there.

Dear Samor;

it depends on your nationality, if you are an Arab(other than Iraq) you will obtain one from the airport in Syria but if you are other than that you’ll need to visit the Syrian embassy with 2 photos and a valid passport copy and Qatar visa and fill the application over there. give them a call to check.

The requirments for getting a tour visa to syria for non Arabs and non Iraqi is the orginal passport and 3 photographs, make sure to have Euro change since in some Syrian embassies like the one in yerevan they accept only Euros. an application can be filled in the embassy.

There is a big Syrian Embassy in Tehran, if you need any help in obtaining a visa to Syria they will help you in doing so, if u face any difficulties you can meet the embassedor, his name is Hamid Hassan.

Dear Aliyah, for your case i don’t know why do you wish to register your merrage in Syria since your hasband is not Syrian, im married to a forigner and havent registered mine too, but i have to issue a visa for my wife every time we travel to syrai since we live in Dubai.

I was there in Syria last year 2010.I got married only on a sheik h since I am a muslim but could not register the marriage due to luck of documents. What is the documents needed for a Filipino to get married in Damascus to my Jordanian Palestinian fiance who is living in Damascus?I am currently holding a UAE residence visa. Please I need the details of the documents so this time it will not fail just like last year.

Arabs, Don’t need visa to Syria except Iraqi, all Arab Nationals will be given an application while they are on flight before landing in any Syrian Airport.

Hi,
I hold a Portuguese passport and now i’m doing some business trip in Iran. Portugal don’t have a Syrian Embassy, so is it possible to flight from Tehran to Damascus for a business trip just for 4 or 5 days and be back to Tehran. Can I get a VOA at the airport, if this help, I was 30 days last year in Damascus.
